Ruzanna, an accomplished educator and community advocate, was born in 1981 in Yerevan, Armenia. A graduate of Vahan Teryan School, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Yerevan State University, where her fascination with the natural world and passion for teaching took root. She began her career at Mushegh Ishxan Middle School in 2002, developing her expertise in geography education and nurturing a love of discovery among her students. In 2003, she joined Mesrop Mashtoc School, where she taught geography and natural science for five years, expanding students’ awareness of global ecosystems and natural phenomena.

In this role, she applied her analytical and organizational skills to manage resources and support national development initiatives.
In 2010, Ruzanna relocated to Colorado, bringing her deep commitment to education and Armenian culture to a new community. Recognizing the importance of preserving heritage for future generations, she became director of the Armenian School in Colorado in 2017. In addition to overseeing the school’s operations, she teaches courses that encourage students to explore their cultural identity and form a meaningful connection to their roots.
Ruzanna’s dedication to nurturing the next generation is fueled by her own family: she is married and the proud mother of two daughters, who inspire her to create a supportive and enriching educational experience for all.
